Exporting Herd Data

Virtual Herd can import herd data from most associations and other sources.. Some associations allow you to export the herd data yourself through their website, while other associations will require you to contact the office for an export file.

If your association does not support online exports, you may have to pay the association a fee for the herd data.

Export Separate Files for Each Category

It’s a good idea to export each category separately so that you can properly import them in to Virtual Herd. For example, you want to import Herd Sires, Donors, and Foundation Females, you will want to export each of these groups individually into different files. This is because Virtual Herd can only import each group into one category at a time.
